Position in multimodal Neuroimaging data analysis and modelling

We are seeking researchers to complement the team for the project “Functional and structural reorganization of brain networks after stroke: implications for diagnosis and therapy of associated comorbidities“ funded by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.
The project is carried out in the Department of Complex Systems and Nonlinear Dynamics at the Institute of Computer Science of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague in collaboration with the Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Czech Technical University and the Motol University Hospital.


  • Fellowship is of minimum 12 months duration (with possible extension up to 42 months to be decided after the first year; subsequent application for tenure-track position in the institute is possible).
  • Application deadlines: open until filled.
  • Starting date: upon agreement.
  • This is a full-time fixed term contract appointment. Part time contract possible upon agreement.
  • Monthly gross salary: starting from 30 000 CZK based on qualifications and experience.

  • No teaching duties.
  • Applicants must:
    1. Hold a PhD in mathematics, computer science, neuroscience or a related discipline. (In exceptional circumstances, applications for a doctoral position will be considered).
    2. Be fluent in English.
  • Prior experience with neuroimaging data (electrophysiology, diffusion MRI) is advantageous

    2. Brief description of applicant’s research interests and of intended research plan during
      the fellowship highlighting possible cooperation inside the institute.
    3. Two letters of recommendation – at most one from the Institute of Computer Science and
      at most one from the applicant’s current affiliation. The referees should send their recommendations directly to ics@cs.cas.cz.
    4. A proof of the obtained degree.
